Summary
This new guidebook is for people in a hurry. It’s a quick easily digested history of the City of Brighton, with most of the interesting bits included and a lot of the boring stuff left out.

It’s written, assuming the reader doesn’t know an awful lot about history so everything is explained and clearly spelt out. It concentrates on the old part of the town, which is the city’s historic heart and soul, where all the really intriguing things have happened over the years.

The author, Christopher Horlock is a teacher and lives in Shoreham by Sea. He is the author of several hugely popular books on Brighton. ‘Brighton the Century in Photographs Volumes 1 & 2’ and ‘Brighton & Hove Then and Now Volume 1’ He is currently working on ‘Brighton & Hove Then and Now Volume 2’.
